Blazers sign 2011-born forwards Montgomery, Green

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers have signed two 2011-born players who comprised their 2026 draft class to WHL Scholarship and Development agreements.

Micah Montgomery was the eighth player picked in round one of the 2026 WHL draft, while Mazen Green was the 45th player to hear his name called when he was taken in the second round.

Montgomery, a six-foot-tall Edmontonian, led the OHA Edmonton’s U-15 prep team in scoring with 63 points (21 goals and 42 assists) in 30 games. He also added eight points in five games at the Alberta Cup in April.

The five-foot-eight Green is from Surrey and he had 46 points (18 goals and 28 assists) in 30 games with the Delta Hockey Academy U15 Prep team. Green also had two goals and an assist in four games at the BC Cup in April.
