Blazers select centre Micah Montgomery eighth overall in 2026 WHL Prospects Draft
KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers went to Edmonton for their first pick in the 2026 Western Hockey League (WHL) Prospects Draft Wednesday (May 6) night.
MICAH MONTGOMERY INTERVIEW
With the eighth pick in the first round, the Blazers took 15-year-old centre Micah Montgomery. The 2011-born native of the Alberta capital scored 21 goals and 63 points in 30 games with OHA Edmonton’s U-15 prep team. He was fourth in Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) scoring at the U-15 level.
