100 Mile House murder suspect granted bail

KAMLOOPS — A man charged in a 2021 shooting death in 100 Mile House will be out on bail until his trial later this year.

One person was found dead of gunshot wounds in an industrial area of 100 Mile House on October 19, 2021. RCMP did not disclose anything about the victim’s identity.

Two years later, RCMP arrested 100 Mile resident James Eugene Perkins and charged him with a single count of first degree murder.

In BC Supreme Court in Kamloops Friday (May 8), Perkins was granted bail with conditions, including house arrest with electronic monitoring.
