Alicia Keys To Mentor ‘American Idol’ Finalists, Perform In Season Finale

Alicia Keys will serve as guest mentor for American Idol’s Top 3 finalists and perform twice during the season finale. Keys will guide contestants preparing for their final chance to win America’s vote. She’ll perform songs celebrating her 2001 debut album Songs in A Minor, including one performance with the Top 3 finalists. The three-hour finale airs live Monday, May 11th, at 8 pm EDT on ABC and Disney+, available next day on Hulu. Keys joins host Ryan Seacrest and judges Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie, and Carrie Underwood. Since her debut, Keys has sold over 65 million records with over 5 billion streams. She recently created Broadway musical Hell’s Kitchen, which earned 13 Tony nominations and two wins, plus a Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album.
