Toxic drug death rate slows in Kamloops
KAMLOOPS — The rate of fatalities from toxic drugs in Kamloops has slowed significantly since the beginning of the year.
February totals released Wednesday (April 15) by the BC Coroners Service show 115 deaths province-wide due to toxic drugs, down from 150 in January.
To date, there have been three such deaths in Kamloops through the first two months of 2026 – two recorded in January and one in February.
