Blazers wrap up preseason with a 3-2 overtime win over Cougars

QUESNEL, B.C. — The Kamloops Blazers beat the Prince George Cougars in their final game of the WHL preseason Saturday (Sept. 13) 3-2 in overtime at the West Fraser Centre in Quesnel.

J.P. Hurlbert scored twice before the recently signed Josh Evaschesen put away the winner in overtime.

The Blazers finished their exhibition schedule with a 3-2-0 record. They’ll open their regular season schedule at home Saturday (Sept. 20) when they welcome the Spokane Chiefs to Sandman Centre. Puck drop is at 6:00 p.m.
