VICTORIA, B.C. – Kamloops United FC (KUFC) 2 are Pacific Coast Soccer League (PCSL) Challenge Cup champions for the first time.

The reserve team of the League 1 BC Kamloops United team beat the previously undefeated Victoria United 3-1 in extra time at Layritz Turf in Victoria Sunday (July 27) afternoon.

It’s the first time a team from Kamloops has won the PCSL Challenge Cup, which is awarded to the winner of a mini-tournament contested between the top four teams after the regular season.

Lachlan Will scored twice in extra time while Hagon Kim also found the back of the net in regulation as Kamloops lifted the Sheila Anderson Memorial Cup. The trophy is named after a former PCSL league secretary.
