How much longer they could continue into the year?
“September, October, November are supposed to be above normal temperatures and below normal precipitation. And given the drought we have in many parts of British Columbia, this means that it’s conducive for fire well into the autumn.” says Mike Flannigan, BC Innovation Research Chair in Predictive Services, Emergency Management and Fire Science at Thompson Rivers University.
