Five more closures totalling 89 hours planned for 100 Mile emergency department in coming week

100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — Interior Health (IH) has announced a series of closures of the emergency department in 100 Mile House that will total 89 hours over the coming week.
The 100 Mile District General Hospital emergency room will be closed on the following occasions:
- Thursday, July 16 from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (13 hours)
- Friday, July 17 from 7:00 a.m. to Saturday, July 18 at 8:00 a.m. (25 hours)
- Saturday, July 18 from 7:00 p.m. to Sunday, July 19 at 8:00 p.m. (25 hours)
- Monday, July 20 from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (13 hours)
- Tuesday, July 21 from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (13 hours)
In a news release, IH encourages those in need of emergency medical care to visit Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake during times when the 100 Mile House ER is closed. More urgent situations warrant a call to 9-1-1.
