Kamloops MP asking constituents to sign petition calling for federal help on Red Bridge rebuild
KAMLOOPS — As planning work continues on a replacement for the Red Bridge, the Member of Parliament for Kamloops-Thompson-Nicola is hoping to do his part to keep up pressure on the B.C. Government.
As the two-year anniversary of the Red Bridge fire approaches, Conservative MP Frank Caputo has mailed a petition to thousands of homes in his riding, which can be returned to his Ottawa office for free.
Signatories to the petition are calling on the federal government to commit federal dollars to help fast-track a rebuild of the bridge in partnership with the provincial government, the City of Kamloops and Tkemlúps te Secwépemc.
