Kamloops Farmers Market slowly ramping into 2026 season after ‘interesting’ spring weather
KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Farmers Market has been slowly ramping up into the 2026 season, as both the Saturday and Wednesday markets have been up and running for a few weeks.
Victoria Street was a hive of activity Wednesday (May 20) for the third mid-week market of the season. Vendors will remain stationed on the sidewalk in front of the TNRD building, but in four weeks’ time – on June 17 – they’ll spill over onto the 400-block of Victoria Street and remain there until Oct. 28.
“A common question we get is, ‘Why aren’t we on the street yet?’ and that is precisely because we’re waiting for our farmers to be ready with veggies,” Market Manager Greg Unger told CFJC Today. “But that’s normal. It is only mid-May, but the farmers will have veggies soon enough.”
