Ryan Gosling’s science fiction thriller Project Hail Mary achieved an impressive $80.5 million domestic opening weekend, marking 2026’s highest biggest debut (so far). The space adventure generated additional international revenue of $60.4 million across 82 territories, bringing worldwide earnings to $140.9 million. Pixar’s animated feature Hoppers dropped from first to second position after maintaining the top spot for two consecutive weekends, adding $18 million to its total. Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, an Indian action film, claimed third place despite limited theatrical presence in only 987 venues, collecting $9.5 million. Disney and Searchlight’s horror follow-up Ready Or Not 2: Here I Come debuted in fourth position with $9 million. The romantic drama Reminders Of Him completed the top five rankings during its sophomore weekend, earning $8 million.
