The Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer shattered viewing records Wednesday, reaching 718.6 million views in 24 hours. It’s now the biggest movie trailer launch in history, surpassing Deadpool & Wolverine’s previous record of 365 million views. Tom Holland returns as Spider-Man for the first time since No Way Home, which grossed $1.9 billion globally in 2021. The new film’s plot shows Peter Parker living alone four years later, having erased himself from loved ones’ memories. The cast also includes Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal (as The Punisher), and Mark Ruffalo (as The Hulk). Destin Daniel Cretton directs the film, hitting theaters July 31st.
