Special weather statement in effect for Coquihalla, parts of southern B.C. with more rain on the way
HOPE, B.C. — Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the Hope to Merritt section of the Coquihalla as more rain is expected to fall over the next few days.
The weather alert also covers the already drenched Fraser Valley as well as the Manning – Skagit Valley and Highway 3 from Hope to Princeton via the Allison Pass.
While minimal rain is expected Saturday (Dec. 13), Environment Canada said a weather system will move into the area later today and persist into Sunday.
“On Monday, another system arrives with a more significant push of moisture,” Environment Canada noted. “Rain will intensify Sunday night and continue most of Monday.”
