KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Broncos are looking for a new head coach for the 2026 British Columbia Football Conference (BCFC) season.

In a news release Thursday (Oct. 23) night, the Kamloops junior football club announced they’re looking for qualified candidates to send them their resume and coaching background.

The release does not elaborate on the status of Braden Vankoughnett, who was hired as the Broncos head coach in 2020 after playing for them in 2015 and serving as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator in 2018 and 2019.

Over the course of five seasons with Vankoughnett as head coach from 2021 to 2025, the Broncos won eight games and lost 40. Their best season under Vankoughnett came in 2022 with a record of 4-6. The Broncos are coming off a 2025 campaign where they finished 0-10.
