Rock Legend Steve Miller has praised Eminem’s new single, “Houdini,” which uses samples from his classic 1982 song, “Abracadabra.” Eminem joins a long line of rap artists who have sampled music by the Steve Miller Band, with Nas, Jungle Brothers, EPMD, Lil Wayne, Ice Cube, and Biz Markie all using sonic fragments of “Fly Like An Eagle” in their own hip hop songs. While Miller’s “Take the Money and Run” has been used by Beastie Boys, N.W.A, De La Soul, and Salt-N-Pepa. In a post on Miller’s Instagram page on Friday after “Houdini” was released, he praised Eminem and gave his blessing for the use of “Abracadabra” in his new song.
