KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops NorthPaws dropped their opening series of the 2024 West Coast League season to the Victoria Harbourcats 2-1.

After winning their home opener at Norbrock Stadium 2-1 on Friday and getting blown out 11-2 on Saturday, the NorthPaws dropped the series finale 10-5 Sunday (June 2) afternoon after surrendering five runs in the top of the ninth inning.

Following Sunday’s loss, NorthPaws Head Coach Jose Bautista noted how several of their players are expected to arrive in Kamloops ahead of their next series.

“What we got right now is not all our regular players. We are still waiting for more to come,” Bautista says. “We only got 10 pitchers, who can pitch one inning here, one inning there. As soon as we get everybody coming in, we are going to be fine. Coming on the sixth, seventh, eighth, and ninth, a couple guys are going to be here. There are going to be a couple changes.”
