KAMLOOPS — RCMP hope the public can help them identify a woman who allegedly made off with a pricy produce scanner from a Kamloops grocery store.
In a news release issued Tuesday (Apr. 16), Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says the theft took place about one month ago, on March 14.
During the noon hour that day, an employee of a Summit Drive store reported leaving the scanner inside a banana box in an aisle. When the employee returned to the aisle, the box was gone.
Security footage shows a woman taking the box and leaving the store.
