Storm facing elimination after dropping game three to Grizzlies 3-2 OT
KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Storm are on the brink of elimination in the 2024 Kootenay International Junior Hockey League playoffs.
Trailing the best-of-seven series 2-0 heading into game three Monday (March 11) at McArthur Park Arena, the Storm were unable to cut the deficit as they fell to the Revelstoke Grizzlies 3-2 in overtime. The Storm now trail the Doug Birks Division Finals 3-0.
Ryan Larsen scored two goals to give the Storm two separate leads, but the Grizzlies were able to respond both times. The Grizzlies scored the game winning goal on the power play four minutes into the first overtime period thanks to a Too Many Men penalty from the Storm.
The Storm will attempt to keep their season alive Tuesday (March 12) when they host the Grizzlies in game four. Puck drop is at 7:00 p.m. from McArthur Park Arena.
