Shuswap wildfires the focus of TRU public forum Wednesday

KAMLOOPS — The wildfires that ravaged North Shuswap communities last summer will be the focus of a public forum at Thompson Rivers University Wednesday (March 6).

Environmentalist Jim Cooperman will discuss his two petitions that call for changes to forest management protocols and call for a public inquiry into the B.C. Wildfire Service response.

The evening will also include remarks from experts, residents and local officials.

The public is invited to the Alumni Theatre at the TRU Clocktower Building beginning at 6:00 p.m.
