Setting between Cache Creek and Walhachin featured in new CBS TV series
CACHE CREEK, B.C. — Residents near Cache Creek, Kamloops and Walhachin who kept their TV’s on after Super Bowl Sunday (Feb. 11) may have noticed a familiar setting.
In a news release issued Friday (Feb. 16), the Thompson-Nicola Film Commission confirmed the new CBS drama action series Tracker filmed the opening scenes of its pilot episode between Cache Creek and Walhachin within Electoral Area “I” (Blue Sky Country) of the Thompson Nicola Regional District (TNRD).
“Desert landscapes of the TNRD are generally a huge draw for film productions of all sizes,” Terri Hadwin, TNRD film commissioner says. “This area where Tracker was filmed is also conveniently located close to several communities and main amenities for film crews.”
Tracker is based on the book The Never Game by Jeffery Deaver and centres on the story of survivalist Colter Shaw, who travels the country in his airstream to help police and private citizens solve crimes and find missing people – until a new case changes everything.
