Man arrested after reportedly stealing vehicle from Logan Lake gas station
KAMLOOPS — A man was arrested and charged after reportedly stealing a vehicle from a gas station in Logan Lake.
In a news release issued Tuesday (Feb. 13), Logan Lake RCMP say officers responded to Chartrand Avenue at around 1:30 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 10) where employees at the gas station reported seeing a stolen Volkswagen Jetta driving toward Ashcroft or Merritt.
Officers with BC Highway Patrol spotted the stolen vehicle traveling on Highway 8 toward Spences Bridge at around 1:45 p.m. Saturday. Police say officers deployed a spike belt near Highway 1 and Highway 8 and forced the vehicle to stop.
Charges of theft of a motor vehicle, flight from police and dangerous operation of a conveyance were approved against 44-year-old Christopher Loosley-Millman.
