KAMLOOPS — A offensive first period would see the Kamloops Storm take a lead they would never surrender en-route to a 4-1 win Saturday night over the visiting Sicamous Eagles.
Everett Boutcher capitalized on a 2 on 1 break to beat Storm goaltender Colton Phillips-Watts at the 7:07 mark of the first period.
But then Kamloops took over on offense. Ty Horner and Nathan Bohmer scored goals 10 minutes apart late in the first to give the Storm a lead. Horner and Bohmer each had a goal and an assist in the contest.
Teghan Mullin and Evan Clark, both Kamloops products, added third period goals.
