TRU men’s split the weekend with Timberwolves; women fall

KAMLOOPS — The Thompson Rivers WolfPack men’s basketball team secured a 69-63 victor

y over the UNBC Timberwolves, last night (Jan. 27).

Daniel Bost led the team with a season-high 20 points, including five rebounds and a pair of assists. Denys Bachurin added a further 14 points, while Thomas Olsen recorded eight points and 10 rebounds.

With the result, the squad now moves to 4-10 on the season and are two games back of UFV for the final playoff spot in the conference.

Meanwhile, the women’s team fell short, losing 64-60. Danijela Kovacevic had 18 points for TRU, while Kelsey Cruz added 11. Kate De La Mare recorded 13 rebounds and four blocks, setting a new program record for a rookie.
