WolfPack fall to UBCO Heat
KELOWNA – The Thompson Rivers WolfPack men’s and women’s basketball teams put up a good battle against the UBC Okanagan Heat last night (Jan. 20). However, it wasn’t enough to secure a victory.
The men lost 72-65. Second-year guard Cyrus Harrison went 6-12 from the floor to lead TRU with 21 points, which set a new career-high for him. The loss is the eighth time this season and third game in a row that the ‘Pack have lost by seven points or less.
Meanwhile, the women dropped a 68-55 decision. Third-year forward Priyanca Sundher led the team with 14 points and four three-pointers. The result clinches the women’s version of the 2023-24 Presidents’ Cup for the Heat.
The WolfPack will now return home to welcome the UNBC Timberwolves next weekend.
