WolfPack start 2024 on right foot

KAMLOOPS — The Thompson Rivers WolfPack basketball teams welcomed the Fraser Valley Cascades last night (Jan. 5) inside TCC.

The women won 80-36 against the nationally ranked Cascades, with 27 points scored by rookies, as the young team continues to grow.

On the men side, the WolfPack also secured a 83-67 victory, moving to 2-5 on the season.

“It’s nice to start the second semester with a win. We lost a lot of close games last semester that we thought we should have won. We are fighting for a playoff spot so it’s huge for us to beat a team that we are fighting for that spot,” said Denys Bachurin, third-year forward.

The teams will face each other again tonight (Jan. 6) inside TCC.
