Storm open up 2024 with victory

100 MILE HOUSE — The Kamloops Storm started the 2024 calendar year with a victory. The team opened up a three-game-in-three night Kootenay International Junior Hockey League weekend with a 4-1 victory over the host 100 Mile House Wranglers.

Nolan MacPherson, Devin Benson, Lochlan Stefanishyn and Braycen Dube had the goals for the Storm, while Sam Lewis added two assists for Kamloops, who were outshot 27-24 by 100 Mile House.

The team will now face the Princeton Posse at Mac Isle tonight (Jan. 6) at 7 p.m.
