Kamloops Blazers take the win in Moose Jaw after six-game losing streak
MOOSE JAW, S.K. — The Kamloops Blazers are back to winning ways after defeating the Moose Jaw Warriors 5-3 at the Moose Jaw Events Centre on Friday (Dec. 15).
After a six-game losing streak, the Blazers end their Saskatchewan road trip by taking two points home.
The first period was a tight game for both teams, finishing 1-1 and with Kai Matthew scoring for Kamloops. However, the Blazers would take control of the game in the second period, with two goals from Ashton Ferster and Jordan Keller to make it 3-1.
Moose Jaw attempted the comeback in the third period, scoring two goals. Despite their efforts, Kamloops would also score two of their own, with Ashton Ferster tallying his second goal of the night halfway through the period and Shea Van Olm sealing the deal to an empty net, winning 5-3.
