Kamloops RCMP cordon off North Shore neighbourhood, surround notorious 13th Street home
KAMLOOPS — RCMP have a section of 13th Street on the Kamloops North Shore cordoned off as local officers await reinforcements from the Southeast District Emergency Response Team (ERT).
In a news release, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn asks residents to avoid the area.
At about 12:00 noon Thursday (Nov. 30), officers were called to respond to an assault near Halston and Sudbury Avenues.
Subsequent investigation led the Mounties to a home on 13th Street. The home is notorious to RCMP, who believe there are weapons inside.
