LOGAN LAKE, B.C. — The District of Logan Lake will use a nearly $1 million provincial grant to double the size of the community’s campground.
In a news release, Mayor Robin Smith says the grant from the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport totals $992,285.
It will go toward the first phase of creating an expansion that will eventually add 45 new campsites, a large roundhouse and eight cabins.
Smith says the additions to the campground will also include washrooms and shower facilities, as well as “a recognition and inclusion of local Indigenous culture.”
