WolfPack men beat Thunderbirds; women fall
VANCOUVER – The Thompson Rivers WolfPack men’s volleyball team secured their third momentous road victory of the season when they beat the UBC Thunderbirds 3-1 last night (Nov. 18).
“We had a solid start tonight and played with lots of control and confidence,” said WolfPack head coach Pat Hennelly. “Was a battle back-and-forth with some of the best volleyball of the year on both sides.”
The women weren’t so lucky and lost 3-0.
“We started well but couldn’t find a way to finish the first set,” said WolfPack head coach Chad Grimm. “After that we struggled to score points, UBC defended well and we weren’t able to keep out patience and find offensive solutions.”
