Storm win back to back powered by Phillips-Watts brothers
KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Storm got back in the win column after two victories over the weekend (Nov 10-11) in the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League.
Forward Jake Phillips-Watts and goaltender Colton Phillips-Watts lead the team to a 7-1 win over the Osoyoos Coyotes on Friday, at home ice. While Jake scored three goals for Kamloops, Colton stopped 21 of 22 shots.
Other goal scorers on Friday for the Storm were Ryan Larsen, Thomas Clark, Andon Rende and Sam Zulyiak.
On Saturday, the team earned a 3-0 victory on the road in Chase. Sam Lewis led the team with one goal and one assist. Ty Horner and Austin Barrett also scored one goal each for Kamloops, while Colton turned aside 22 shots for his second shutout of the KIJHL season.
