WolfPack men beat Spartans; women fall short

KAMLOOPS — The Thompson Rivers WolfPack men’s basketball secured their first 2023-24 victory last night (Nov. 4) when they beat the Trinity Western Spartans 79-62.
“I thought we put together two halves of really good basketball. The message last night was that you can’t play for 20 or 25 minutes, you have to play for a total 40 and I thought our guys did that today,” said WolfPack head coach Chad Jacobson.
The women weren’t so lucky and lost 64-48 against the same Spartans. Both rookie Olivia Randall and veteran Kelsey Cruz had 13 points and five rebounds apiece for TRU. Priyanca Sundher added seven points, while Kate De La Mare snagged 10 rebounds.
The ‘Pack will now travel to Brandon, where they visit the Bobcats next weekend.
