TRU fall short and lose to Huskies

SASKATOON — Thompson Rivers men’s volleyball team fought all the way to fifth set, but couldn’t secure a victory, losing 3-2 against the Saskatchewan Huskies yesterday (Nov. 4).

“It was a good battle tonight,” said WolfPack head coach Pat Hennelly. “We managed to win the fourth but could not get anything going in the fifth set.”

It wasn’t the best night for the women’s team either, when they lost 3-0 to the same Huskies.

“I thought we played pretty well in the first set and the second was also a battle, we just couldn’t find our rhythm,” said WolfPack head coach Chad Grimm. “It was one of those games where we just couldn’t find it, not necessarily because we were playing poorly, it was just a little bit off.”
