WolfPack defeat Huskies

SASKATOON, SK — The Thompson Rivers WolfPack men and women’s volleyball hit the road this weekend to face Saskatchewan Huskies.

The men scored a massive victory over the No 5 ranked in Canada with a 3-2 victory last night (Nov. 3). The Huskies took both the second and third sets, but the ‘Pack were able to rally and battle back.

“Credit to the boys for sticking with it and coming back in the fourth and fifth sets,” said WolfPack head coach Pat Hennelly. “Overall a very gritty road performance and I’m proud of the guys effort and composure.”

The women’s team also earned a 3-2 victory over the Huskies. This is the second win of the season for the ‘Pack.

“We came out okay but then Saskatchewan played better, they scored a lot of tip and roll shots and we looked a little slow and hesitant,” said WolfPack head coach Chad Grimm. “We managed to turn it around in the fourth and fifth so it was great to see the pushback and getting a win on the road is always nice.”
