Man arrested, released with court date, after late night business break-in
KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP say one man has been arrested, and released with a court date, as part of an investigation into a late night break and enter.
In a release, Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says around 11 p.m Wednesday evening (Oct. 18), officers were called to a business in the 300-block of Tranquille Road. Someone had smashed the window of a store in the area, stolen liquor, and fled the scene on foot.
“Thanks to the quick response of officers, a suspect was located nearby, drinking from one of the bottles believed to have been stolen, and taken into custody without issue,” states Evelyn.
Mounties add that the suspect, a man in his 40s, has been released with conditions and a court date.
