Minor injuries reported after Clearwater-area crash

CLEARWATER, B.C. — Traffic was snarled in the Clearwater area for most of the Wednesday (Oct. 11) after a commercial truck crash.

The incident took place on Highway 5 between Birch Island and Vavenby at about 7:30 a.m.

Photos posted online show an overturned semi, with a load of boxes spilled onto the highway.

RCMP have not released any information on the incident, but online reports indicate there were minor injuries to the occupants of the truck.

About an hour after the crash, Drive BC reported the route had opened to single-lane, alternating traffic.
