RCMP raid Williams Lake motel, seize drugs and weapons

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — RCMP in Williams Lake carried out a series of raids Tuesday (April 25) in an effort to crack down on drug trafficking in the Cariboo city.
In a news release, RCMP say the raids were carried out by the Cariboo-Chilcotin Crime Reduction Unit — who simultaneously stormed several units at the Slumber Lodge on Seventh Avenue South.
Inside the units, they found and seized suspected methamphetamine, cocaine and fentanyl, along with weapons and cash.
Investigators also recovered a military uniform that had recently been stolen from Canadian Armed Forces personnel.
