Two Blazers make NHL Central Scouting mid-term rankings

KAMLOOPS — Two Kamloops Blazers made the National Hockey League’s (NHL) Central Scouting mid-term rankings Friday (Jan. 13).

Connor Levis was ranked 60th overall in North American skaters, slotting him as a potential second-round pick in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. The 2004-born right winger has scored 33 points (10 goals and 23 assists) in 37 games.

Elsewhere, Dylan Ernst was ranked 15th overall in North American goaltenders. Kamloops’ 2004-born starting netminder has posted a 0.918 save percentage and a 2.38 goals against average in 32 games play, while spotting a record of 22-6-3 with two shut outs.

Meanwhile, 11 WHL players were listed as potential first round NHL Draft picks: Connor Bedard (Regina) at No. 1, Brayden Yager (Moose Jaw) at No. 5, Zach Benson (Winnipeg) at No. 7, Samuel Honzek (Vancouver) at No. 9, Lukas Dragicevis (Tri-City) at No. 12, Nate Danielson (Brandon) at No. 13, Andrew Cristall (Kelowna) at No. 16, Koehn Ziemmer (Prince George) at No. 20, Kalan Lind (Red Deer) at No. 23, Riley Heidt (Prince George) at No. 26 and Caden Price (Kelowna) at No. 30.
