Stolen vehicle investigation leads to heavy police presence near Paul Lake

EARLIER: Kamloops RCMP say a stolen vehicle investigation has led to a large police presence in the area of Paul Lake Road.

Details are few at this point, but detachment spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says it’s likely there will be more information later Thursday afternoon (Oct. 27).

Evelyn says investigators are searching in a rural area with large residential properties.

RCMP are asking the public to avoid the area if possible.

A reader told CFJC Today their truck, a black Ford F-350, was stolen Wednesday from a local tire shop. Social media reports indicate the truck has been located but RCMP are still trying to track down the suspect or suspects.
