After Royal sweep, Blazers hold steady at #5 in CHL Top 10

KAMLOOPS — After a winning weekend against Victoria at home, the Kamloops Blazers are holding steady in the Canadian Hockey League’s rankings.

The CHL’s Week Two Top 10 rankings released Tuesday (Oct. 11) have the Blazers at #5, unchanged from Week One.

Other Western Hockey League teams in the Top 10 include Seattle (#4) and Portland (#7). Red Deer and Everett are honourable mentions.

The Blazers picked up a pair of victories over the Victoria Royals at Sandman Centre over the weekend, 5-2 on Friday and 3-1 on Saturday.

Their next game is scheduled for Friday, October 14 in Kennewick, Washington against the Tri-City Americans. That game is expected to be the season debut of reigning CHL Player of the Year Logan Stankoven, who was returned to Kamloops from Dallas Stars camp on Monday.
