TNRD downgrades evacuation order for properties affected by Nohomin Creek wildfire

LYTTON, B.C. — An evacuation order for 24 properties in the Thompson Nicola Regional District (TNRD) in response to the Nohomin Creek wildfire near Lytton has been downgraded to an evacuation alert.
In a news release Friday (July 29) morning, the TNRD says residents northwest of Lytton – west of the Fraser River, north of IR27 and south of IR9B, along Spencer Road – in the Blue Sky Country electoral area are able to return home. A separate evacuation alert remains in effect for 31 properties north of Lytton along Highway 12.

TNRD residents who are returning home can access a re-entry package online or in person at the Cache Creek Emergency Support Services Reception Centre at 1270 Stage Rd.
