Kamloops RCMP appeal for information into theft of unique electronics

KAMLOOPS — RCMP would like the public’s help tracking down some unique electronic instruments that were stolen in Kamloops.

The theft happened from a company vehicle in the 1500-block of Hugh Allan Drive on Apr. 16.

The three stolen items are Tromino geophysical instruments. They are cube-shaped and yellow, red and blue, housed inside silver cases.

The thieves took three Garmin GPS devices as well.

“It’s likely the thief did not know what they were stealing and just grabbed the cases and fled,” said Cst. Crystal Evelyn of Kamloops RCMP in a news release. “The items have no use to the general public and may have been discarded.”
