Stankoven leads the way as Blazers dominate Chiefs 5 – 1
KAMLOOPS – Logan Stankoven had a goal and two assists to pace the Kamloops Blazers to a 5 – 1 victory over the Spokane Chiefs Monday night in Kamloops.
Stankoven set up Luke Toporowski’s game-opening goal less than three minutes into the contest. He also earned an assist in the only other first period goal, a marker by Fraser Minten on the powerplay. Just 3:44 into the second period, Stankoven scored his fourth of the series.
Stankoven’s efforts have helped to give Kamloops a commanding three games to nothing lead in the best-of-seven first-round series in the WHL playoffs.
