KAMLOOPS — Interior Health (IH) has declared a COVID-19 outbreak in Royal Inland Hospital’s Six North ward.
The declaration was made late Tuesday (Sept. 28). In a news release, IH says there are only two patient cases included in the outbreak so far.
Asymptomatic testing is taking place and IH says other measures are being put in place in an effort to keep the outbreak from spreading.
This is the fourth active outbreak in Kamloops. Kamloops Seniors Village (19 cases, one death), Overlander Long-Term Care (21 cases) and The Hamlets at Westsyde (six cases) are all long-term care facilities.
