‘Not even close to being fixed’: Kamloops teacher determined to spur change after guilty verdict in Floyd murder
KAMLOOPS — The death of George Floyd in Minneapolis last spring spurred calls for justice. On Tuesday some of those calls were answered.
The word guilty echoed out three times in the courtroom as former police officer, Derek Chauvin was found guilty on all the counts he faced in relation to Floyd’s death.
“No one’s above the law, and that verdict, although I was really happy and excited about it to say, ‘Finally,’ there’s still so much work to do,” Tim Unaegbu told CFJC Today.
