UPDATE: Four more school COVID-19 exposures found in Williams Lake

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — UPDATE: After this story was published, Interior Health added Nesika Elementary School to its exposure list. The exposure date is January 11.

EARLIER: Interior Health has reported three more school exposures in Williams Lake, where COVID-19 spread has increased.

Exposures are reported in Cataline Elementary on Monday-through-Thursday (Jan. 11-14) of last week, and at Mountainview Elementary on Tuesday-through-Thursday (Jan. 12-14).

COVID-19 was also present at Marie Sharpe Elementary on Monday and Wednesday of last week.

A total of five COVID-19 exposures are currently relevant within the Cariboo-Chilcotin School District.

Public health officials are working to get a hold of those who have come in direct contact with COVID-19-positive individuals.

Those who are not contacted are urged to attend school as usual.
