Williams Lake Seniors Village says it is COVID-19-free

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — Staff and residents at Williams Lake Seniors Village (WLSV) are crossing their fingers after the facility was declared free of COVID-19 Monday (Jan. 11).

The declaration was posted on the website of Retirement Concepts, the company that operates WLSV. An outbreak was declared on Dec. 31.

The facility must now wait until Saturday, January 23, until the outbreak at the long-term care facility can be declared officially over.

B.C.’s Ministry of Health said last week the outbreak had been limited to two staff members at WLSV.
