Province records 428 new COVID-19 cases, 61 in Interior Health
VICTORIA — There are 428 new cases of COVID-19 in British Columbia Tuesday (Jan. 5). The new totals are found in the B.C. Centre for Disease Control dashboard update.
Among the new cases are 61 within Interior Health.
The new cases bring the total in B.C. to 54,629 since the pandemic began, spread through the province as follows:
- 12,614 — Vancouver Coastal (up by 90)
- 34,442 — Fraser Health (up by 223)
- 1,001 — Island Health (up by 9)
- 4,239 — Interior Health (up by 61)
- 2,231 — Northern Health (up by 45)
- 107 — Reside outside of Canada (unchanged)
