100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — RCMP in 100 Mile House are trying to decipher the meaning of a large, unwanted graffiti mural recently added to the community’s downtown — and trying to figure out who is responsible for it.

The graffiti was reported last Thursday (Dec. 31) and uses the word ‘Saiko’ spread over buildings in the 300 block of Birch Avenue. The word is in black paint and is quite large.

According to an RCMP release, the investigator cannot figure out what the word refers to. Another strange aspect of the incident is the method of application, which is said to be unusual for graffiti.

Anyone with information about the graffiti is asked to contact 100 Mile House RCMP at (250) 395-2456 or Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 222-8477.
